Registered users of GUEmap 1.x can also
use development releases of GUEmap 2 until it's finished. The
development releases are time-limited, and usually expire a few months
after their release. Once version 2.0 is released, you'll have to
upgrade or return to version 1. (Of course, people who bought a
lifetime license will get 2.0 free.)
If you would like to be notified when new releases are available,
please send mail to me
with a subject of "subscribe GUEmap 2 announcements".
(Registered users of version 1 do not receive these announcements
unless they request them.)
Development releases will come in two flavors. Experimental
releases are hot off the compiler and may have partially implemented
features (not to mention brand new bugs). After it's been out a while
with no problems, an experimental release may be reclassified
Stable. If you want new features with minimum chance of
getting hit by a bug, stick with stable releases. If you want to help
out with the testing, and get the very latest features, try an
experimental release.
